Drive-thru Card

We first used these cards in 2006 when we launched. Since then we’ve updated them a few times. They have been a great hit and communicate well our desire to be an outwardly focused church. The idea with the cards is you pay for the person behind you in the drive-thru, give the card to the drive-thru person and tell them to give it to the card behind you. Looking back and seeing the astonishment on the faces of those in the car behind you as you drive off are reward enough, but knowing that you just communicated God’s love to someone in a practical way is even greater!

Discount Cards

We are always searching for unique ways to interact with our community. In 2009 we created a community discount card for each of our locations in Plainfield and the West side of Indianapolis. The goal with these cards was to create something that would: 1) Be useful to our people; 2) Be used for outreach; 3) Have something of value that we could give to guests and people we interact with in the community (ex. like at a Chamber of Commerce mtg, outreach event, etc.) On a regular basis we send these in a hand written card to every 1st time guest that attends Life Church as a way of saying Thank You.

We included the $10 price on the front of the card for two reasons: 1) people will perceive this discount card as being more valuable with the suggested price compared to if that wasn’t there; 2) it gives us the option of using these for a fundraiser for missions or youth if we wanted to. So far we have not sold a single card, we’ve given them all away.

These were fairly easy to do. The most difficult part is the legwork and time it takes to contact businesses, follow-up and get commitments. Here are the documents we used:

Life Church Discount Card Description & Merchant Verfication Letter – this is the letter we led with when contact merchants and the form we would have them fill out with their offer details.
Indy West Discount Card – Thank You Letter – after our card were made we sent this letter with a few cards to each merchant that participated.

We used the Plastic Card Factory for our printing. The cards cost about $0.20-0.25 each depending on the quantity ordered. Jeannie Shaw from Wilks Art did our design.

2009 Fold-over Invite Card

This is a card we created Spring 2009 to encourage people to invite others to Life Church. To include more information we used a fold-over business card layout with a UV coating. Most fold-over business cards fold along the long horizontal edge, we have traditionally had ours fold along the narrow edge.

The only printer we can find that will do a foldover card this way is NetPrint24. Jeannie Shaw of Wilks Art did the design.

2009 Invite Cards

These are examples of cards that we created to put in people’s hands so they could invite and tell others about Life Church. We also placed these around the community. We printed them with a UV coating and rounded corners.
